Epson LS 11000 has an outstanding Picture Quality! This is projector number 5 for my dedicated (21 x 14 foot) Theater Room. I just had an Epson 5040 go out in November 2021. The epson dealer let me know the board was out after 7500 hour's. I bought a Sony VPL 45es (Magnolia) and used it for over 5 months (500 Hours) while I waited to have the 5040 repaired. I am happy I waited the the 11000 to come out. It has excellent contrast, clarity and color pop. The value proposition of this projector is an excellent return. I have only had it up and running for only about an 6 hour's but it is running 4k at 60/hertz. With a few adjustments to color and HDR it has a stunning picture. The flexibility of installation is huge value. I did have to to install a new 8k fiber optic cable to get it to project a picture (Old HDMI did not Work). I worked with the Magnolia at Tuttle Crossing and Rob was an excellent consultant. Initially I bought 4050 then the 5050. I ultimately spent the extra dollars for increased contrast, Laser, 8 million color and True 4 k shifting. The build quality and picture fine tuning are worth their weight in gold! I am very happy with this project and picture quality. I am using a Elite Screens Sable Frame B2 135-INCH Projector Screen Diagonal 16:9, with a 1.3 gain. Yamaha TS 700 Polk signature series (7.2) with dual 12 inch subwoofers. I included on shot with a single ambient light source (lamp) and the picture is excellent. I Will update once I view some 4k Movies. If you have not worked with Magnolia representative I would consult with them if your are looking to build or upgrade a theater room!

I’ve had a home theater...
Reviewed on www.bestbuy.com·JohnH
I’ve had a home theater for the last 18 years. For the last 2 years planning a new HT during a major home renovation. The biggest decision, of course, was the projector. Looked at everything under $5K and finally decided on the LS11000. They have been in and out of stock since their intro. Took a month after ordering to ship, 10 days to arrive. UPS was supposed to require a signature but was just dropped off. Package was in good condition and so was the projector. Used the Epson ceiling mount, which had some issues with the 4mm screws used to mount to the projector. I had spares from TV mounts so mounting was finished without major incident. I ran a 25’ UHD, 18GHz wire HDMI cable from the Denon amp to the projector 20 months ago. The throw distance of this projector is about 3’ farther than planned, so I needed a cable extension. Nonetheless, the combination wouldn’t work for UHD, just 1080p. Had to run a new fiber optic cable to fix that. If you are running cable, just bite the bullet and install FO cables. Just a heads up. Quick start guide is way too thin to get to a properly positioned picture on the screen. Other than that, the startup is quick, picture is bright and clear. 4K content is amazing on a 120” screen. Even with some ambient light, the picture is very good. Much better than my 1500 lumen Panasonic ever was. Only a week into ownership and I will update after I get it better dialed in.

Epson Home Cinema LS11000
Reviewed on www.crutchfield.com·Stephen
I've had it about two weeks, and I'm very satisfied so far. I upgraded from a low-cost 1080p projector, and the difference is dramatic. I'm very happy with how bright the picture is - I use it in a basement where I typically am able to keep it dark when watching, but the picture is still excellent if I do keep a lamp on. Set up was way easier than I expected, it was easy to use the lens shift to get he picture centered and sized properly. All the various calibration settings were fairly easy to set, although I didn't spend much time tweaking the picture because it looked pretty good out of the box. It's nice that it has eArc, so you can connect a source directly to the projector and still feed ATMOS or other high-bandwidth audio formats out to a receiver. Input lag is very good when playing video games, I don't notice any lag when playing fighting games where lag could be a problem. I didn't face any compatibility issues (if you've tried to get 4K video and ATMOS sound to work from multiple sources, you've probably seen the types of issues I mean...where the source or receiver or monitor doesn't handshake properly and the signal gets downgraded).

Replaced ailing Epson 8700 UB...
Reviewed on www.bhphotovideo.com·Robert
Replaced ailing Epson 8700 UB (bulb burned out and polarizers put blue and red bands on image). \n\n\nPROS: Right out of the box, image brightness is way better than previous projector - can even watch during daytime. Color is accurate and picture is sharp. Contrast seems a bit lower than 8700UB but that may be due to brightness diffreence and reflections from light colored ceiling. It is more quiet and starts up much faster.\nI have it in its lowest brightness cinema mode + a screen of gain = 1.0 and it is perfect. I do not yet have all the equipment needed for 4K so I caanot comment on the resultion but 2K looks beautiful.\n\n\nCONS: Huge, expensive, and no manual overide for focus. It took me a while to adjust the focus since it is all done with the remote - really really wish Epson would consider enableing a manual zoom/focus as a backup in case focus drive ever dies. Also if you are going to do a electronbic focus, user should eb able to set step size such that one hit on the control allows the focus to move one minimum increment to allow focus accuracy.

Purchased this projector for basement...
Reviewed on www.bestbuy.com·DAdams
Purchased this projector for basement home theatre. I am impressed with the picture and the ease of use. I love that the projector is a laser projector instead of a projector with a lamp. This was installed by geek squad and seemed to install easily. I wish this projector also came in black but doesn’t not. The LS12000 is available in black but costs $1k more. I am using this with the Elite Screens - Aeon 135" Wall Mount Projector Screen and the picture is amazing and clear. I also like that this projector has an eArc hdmi. I am using this with sonos ecosystem. I have a sonos arc mounted under the screen with a sub located in the front and one in the rear with 2 play 5’s as the rear speakers. Also using a 4K AppleTV as my video source. Would definitely purchase this again. One thing to note is that my Best Buy salesperson ordered the epson branded ceiling mount and that mount is only rated for 25 pounds and this projector comes in at a whopping 28 pounds so just make sure mount is rated for the weight of this projector.

Reviewed on www.bhphotovideo.com·Alexei
I bought it to replace my 15 years old Epson projector with lamp light source. \nPros: The difference is stunning: picture is much brighter, colors are better, sharpness is excellent.\nCons: \n1. I am missing manual focus and picture shift. \n2. We use it only to stream operas and ballets - not the highest quality picture. In one particular website (marquee.tv, European based website) we noticed very occasional and very light motion blur which we did not notice watching the same videos using old projector - maybe due to worse picture quality. However, streaming from metopera.org (USA-based website) we never noticed this blur and decided that problem is in the picture source.

Upgraded from a failed epson 4000 home theatre. Had inital hdmi handshake issues. Picture but no sound. Was running the ps5 to the onkyo receiver then out to the projector. Simple fix. Run ps5 to projector. Arc out to receiver. Excellent picture. Looks very simmilar to all the oled screens you walk by in the store. Just my screen is 136" i convinced myself if i diddnt see the difference it was going in the box and back. Not mad i spent the 4k at all. Tech support gets the credit for the wiring suggestion. I was convinced there was only one way to fo it. Happy all the way around

Purchased as a replacement for an Epson Power Lite Pro Cinema 6030UB. Picture clarity / sharpness is excellent, color and brightness great, very happy with overall picture quality. Must admit the manual is lacking, and to look to the web to locate where to find the setting to flip/rotate the image, as my projector is suspended. After that everything else setup wise was easy.

The best thing I did to replace my old bulb Epson 5040.\nThis LS11000 meets every thing my home theater could imagine.\nI love its sharpness and cool blacks.\nIt turns on in a second, no more waiting. \nIt doesn’t do 3D which I kind of like but most places don’t produce it any longer.\nAll in all, this is the perfect projector for my 123 inch theater screen.

Previously had a 5030UB, the picture quality is more than twice as good. As for brightness this laser is the sun compared to the moon, the 4k is stunning in comparison. We watch in a completely light controlled environment, with no windows, just a red star ceiling. Black levels are a definite improvement.

Just great! The image quality is a huge step up from our older 1080p projector. We have a light-controlled room, so we haven't had to push brightness up, but it still appears very bright and vibrant. The fan noise is minimal, which makes for an enjoyable and undistracted watching experience.
