Each dish is specifically created...
Reviewed on www.walmart.ca·Connywithay
Each dish is specifically created for two people–so cooking is a breeze, nothing is wasted, and everything is savored,” states the back cover of Anne Danahy's book, The Mediterranean Diet Cookbook for Two: 100 Perfectly Portioned Recipes for Healthy Eating.\n\n~ What ~\nThis two-hundred-and-twelve-page paperback targets those interested in Mediterranean cooking with smaller portioned dishes. After an introduction, the book is divided into eleven sections that contain one hundred recipes, followed by measurement conversions, references, index, and the author's biography.\n\nThe first chapter offers an overview of the Mediterranean diet, focusing on eight principles, its science, and health benefits. The next chapter is about plate portions, pantry options, shopping, and saving money. Chapters three through eleven have breakfast, snacks, soups, salads, vegetarian, fish/seafood, poultry, beef, pork, lamb, simple sides, desserts, and sweets recipes.\n\nEach one-to-two-page recipe begins with its title, followed by prep time, serving size, and a descriptive paragraph. The ingredients are listed in order used on the left side of the page with numbered directions on the right side. Often added are variation, ingredient, substitution, and prep tips. All include caloric information.\n\n~ Why ~\nNow that my husband and I are empty-nesters, we tend to make meals together so this is a lovely book for partners who want to eat healthily. I like the simplistic instructions and variety of so many dish options with sometimes unique ingredients.\n\nSome of the notable recipes are Tomato Goat Cheese Stovetop Frittata, Apple Chips with Chocolate Tahini, Green Bean and Halloumi Salad, Grilled Eggplant Stacks, Salmon Cakes with Tzatziki Sauce, Skillet Greek Turkey and Rice, Baked Lamb Kofta Meatballs, Toasted Grain and Almond Pilaf, and Orange Olive Oil Mug Cakes.\n\n~ Why Not ~\nThose who do not like cooking, especially with someone else, may have no need for this book. Others may have issues with finding some of the uncommon ingredients.\n\n~ Wish ~\nBeing a visual person, I wish there were colored photographs of all completed dishes. Adding a list of recipes at the beginning of each chapter instead of on the table of contents page would make them easier to look up.\n\n~ Want ~\nIf there is only one or two of you to cook for, this makes a lovely cookbook that concentrates on healthy, fresh dishes portioned perfectly for two.\n\nThanks to Callisto Publisher's Club and the author for this complimentary book that I am under no obligation to review.

If you're going to play...
Reviewed on www.sweetwater.com·Dave Tartaglia
If you're going to play jazz, this is the book to get. It has all the jazz standards with suggested chords. It's a simple jumping off point to get you started on jazz classics.<br \/>\r\n<br \/>\r\nI'm a guitarist who played rock 'n roll for most of my life. But I have listened to jazz for a long time and decided to give that a try. It's like learning a new language: chords, rhythm, soloing, etc. The Real Book doesn't have guitar tabs, so brush up on your staff reading. <br \/>\r\n<br \/>\r\nAll jazz players have it, so you might as well get it!

Overall I give Gabrielle Bernstein...
Reviewed on www.walmart.ca·BillSwisher
Overall I give Gabrielle Bernstein a "B+." After reading this book it occurs there are really three themes about this book that I really like. First, Gabrielle shares her time with infertility and eventually becoming pregnant, which I will say, "No comment," because this sort of issue happens with many couples. One detail that I really like about this book is that she offers the idea to "choose again," when we get boggled down in negativity. This one simple idea can have a lasting impact on the reader and I hope that if you read it will give you inspiration. The other idea I really like is that she offers the idea to show admiration for things and people in your life you really like or things you wish you had more. While I have read other books in this genre of self help, I have learned that everything that could possibly happen in our lives has actually happened. So when Gabrielle Bertstein says that "showing admiration of others," knowing that we have telepathic powers to attract people would be a nice simple way to bring more people and "signs," that we want to represent us. So with this in mind we choose the good options and turn away from the options that do exist that we do not wish for ourselves. Further, by showing admiration for others, there will certainly be others who will show admiration for us. Thus you will do what Gabrielle Bernstein's intent for us which is to be a "Super Attractor."

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Absolutely love him! I've been watching him on YouTube for awhile. Helps me through days when I just don't want to do life. Bpd has robbed me of everyone and everything that I loved. I'm afraid now more than ever because my child is displaying BPD behaviors and I never want her to be anything like me.

As a fan of McCartney and Wings I enjoyed the book and some of the revealing passages. I did find the writing to be somewhat sloppy and repetitive. I found at least one error..a mention of 'Mitch Miller' as the drummer from the Jimi Hendrix Experience! It seems that many of the details and quotes had been culled from magazines and fanzines of the time period, with just a few additional interviews. I would have also liked to read more about ex-Wings musicians post-Wings career. Regardless, it was a quick read, and interesting.

This is a great book...
Reviewed on www.guitarcenter.com·Conor Wellman
This is a great book and essential for any jazz player. You wont find many pros show up and pull out a fake book and read that as they play. Includes rhythm chords and melody. Add your own solos and you have all you need for a two guitar duet. They only reason that it got 4 instead of 5 (i would give it 4 and a half if i could) is because there are some essential songs that they left out like bags groove and watermelon man.
